When we started this site we wanted to show the unusual side to boxing. Whether it was bizarre fights, funny names, weird stories or atrocious scoring we just wanted you, the boxing fans to be amused. It's with this in mind that we'd like to introduce you to boxing's most amusing singer, Choi Tseveenpurev (36-5, 24).
Originally from Mongolia Choi has been based in the United Kingdom for much of his career and has proven himself to be a tough hard hitter who has sadly been part of the "Who needs him club?" for far too long. Despite his standing as a high risk-low reward fighter he has mixed with some top fighters including the great Veeraphol Sahaprom as well as having sparring sessions with Manny Pacquiao and Naseem Hamed. Sadly however at 40 years old it is unlikely that Choi will ever manage to get a world title fight.
Prior to Prizefighter 15: The Super Featherweights Choi recorded a number of songs aimed at his tournament rivals. The video below shows a number of those songs and whilst they may not be the most tuneful of track they are full of the charm that has made Choi a cult boxing icon with hardcore fans.
