Unless you're a seriously hardcore boxing fan odds are you've never heard of George Klinesmith (24-14-4, 14) or Jerry Hackney (0-8), however I'm almost certain you've seen them. In fact the clip from the fourth round of their 2003 bout may well be one of the most played boxing clips on the internet and is easily amongst the most hilarious.
In the first 3 rounds Klinesmith (who entered the bout 13-8-2, 9) was dominating the bout though never really looked like finishing off Hackney (who himself entered 0-4) despite landing a number of solid shots. Things however took a turn for the...hilarious in round 4 when Hackney decided he'd had enough and ran (yes, I mean ran) across the ring to avoid Klinesmith. Hackney then jumped as he approached the ropes almost as if he wanted to get out of the fighter.
Sadly for Hackney he failed to jump high enough to escape the ring and Klinesmith failed to see the funny side of his attempted escape, as he chased him across the ring and punched him over the ropes. Hackney's agony was to be ended there and then sadly and rather than getting knocked out here merely became entangled in the ring ropes and hanged helplessly until he eventually got some help.
I'm sure you've all seen the clip before, but thankfully you now have a name to put to the face!

In the mid 1970's Muhammad Ali was not only the World Heavyweight Champion but also arguably the biggest star in the world. Where he went the public took attention and this genuinely lead to some bizarre events including this very public stunt with professional wrestling legend Gorilla Monsoon (Robert James "Gino" Marella).
After Monsoon sent his opponent "Baron" Mikel Scicluna out of the ring the Baron decided to take a count out loss and waved off his opponent. Enter stage right a certain Mr Ali who takes off his top and challenges Monsoon to an impromptu bout.
This was one of a number of "wrestling" matches that Ali was involved in, having also faced Kenny Jay (Kenny Benkowski) and Antonio Inoki (in a very dull and tedious 15 round affair that really isn't worth watching, not even for the historical aspect of the bout)
